AI case studies: shipped, in use, not slideware.

Learning platforms, client websites, tools and open-source builds, made for people in the Philippines, Australia and the US, and for ourselves. Each one below says what it is for and what it gives its users.

AI systemsAgentic

SlickLab Agent

The agentic chat support on this site. It reads what a visitor needs, looks up services and prices, runs the numbers, runs the audit and drafts the enquiry, showing each step as it works. It runs with or without an LLM, and never sends anything on its own.

Our own product · Learning

SlickNow.Learning

Mock exams and game-style tools for the three ServiceNow certifications we hold ourselves: CSA, CAD and CIS-CSM.

SlickNow.Learning

LearningServiceNowLive

A gamified study platform that makes ServiceNow certification prep something you want to open. Learners unlock each lesson by proving the last one, drill what they miss, and sit timed mocks until exam day feels like practice.

CSACertified System Administrator
CADCertified Application Developer
CIS-CSMCustomer Service Management
What it gives you
  • Gated lessons. Score 80% or more on the mini-quiz to unlock the next topic, so nothing is skipped.
  • 560+ explained questions. The wrong answers are explained too, so every miss teaches something.
  • Timed mock exams. Scaled like the real thing with a 70% pass mark and no feedback until you submit.
  • Games that stick. Flashcards with spaced repetition, live quiz battles, and a coach that ranks what to study next.

Latest website projects

Sites for businesses whose reputation depends on how they look and read online.

Golden Legacy Studios

WebsiteClientCinematic

A website rebuild for a cinematic book-trailer studio: it turns a portfolio of trailers into a story that earns an author's trust.

What it gives you
  • Story first. The design leads with the work: trailers and book covers, not a wall of services.
  • Fast with heavy media. Video and images are optimized so the pages stay quick.
  • Easy to run. An admin area for the studio and a contact form that reaches them by email.

Redwood Literary

WebsiteClientPublishing

The website of a global literary management agency: strategic distribution, dramatic-rights development and author representation, presented with the authority of a firm established in 2018.

What it gives you
  • Credibility at a glance. Agents, clients, recent releases and rights services each get a clear place.
  • Built for queries. Authors can submit a query straight from the site.
  • Browse by title. Featured publications open into synopsis, genre and publication details.

The idea · Internal

SlickLab Command Center

The way SlickLab organises itself. We share the idea here, not the build.

ConceptPrivate

One place where the studio, and its AI agents, work from the same truth.

Most small studios run on scattered notes, chats and tools, and AI agents inherit that mess. The Command Center is the idea of a single, governed home for how the business thinks and operates, so people and agents draw on the same reviewed knowledge.

Why the idea matters
  • Reviewed before trusted. Nothing counts as approved knowledge until a person has checked it.
  • Agents with guardrails. Automation works inside written rules, with a record of what it did.
  • Secrets stay out. Credentials never live in the knowledge itself.

Small tools · Open source

Tools

Single-purpose utilities built because the tool we wanted did not exist.

NinjaMoves

ToolSecurityLinux

A Linux command-line tool that randomizes a machine's MAC address and hostname, for privacy on networks you own or are allowed to test.

What it gives you
  • Just privacy. One job done well, with no bundle of features you did not ask for.
  • No paid tier. Free to use, with nothing locked behind an upgrade.
  • Stays out of the way. Turn it on, it runs quietly, and you stay less traceable.

AirSlick

ToolAudioWindows + iPhone

Turns an iPhone into a wireless speaker for a Windows PC over your own Wi-Fi. Most apps work the other way round, so the connection logic is reversed.

What it gives you
  • Nothing to install on the phone. It is a web page: open the link in Safari and tap Play.
  • Low latency, lock-safe. About 100 to 150 ms while the page is open, and it keeps playing when the phone is locked.
  • Stays on your network. No cloud relay and no account, and every device on the Wi-Fi can listen.

Agentic Chat Support

Chat Support

The support agent on this site. It works out what a visitor needs, looks up services and prices, runs the numbers and the audit, and drafts the enquiry, showing each step as it works.

What it gives you
  • Answers from real content. Services and prices come from the site itself, so the agent cannot drift from what is published.
  • Works with or without an LLM. A guided mode needs no key, and Claude takes over when one is set; any failure falls back to guided.
  • A person stays in charge. It never sends anything itself: the visitor reviews the drafted enquiry and sends it.

Agentic Email Manager

Email Manager

Triage for the studio's own enquiries: each message becomes one job, AI labels it, fixed rules decide what may happen, and a person stays in charge of anything sensitive.

What it gives you
  • The AI suggests, the rules decide. Labels can only make the outcome more careful, and the AI never writes the reply.
  • One reply per message. An outbox records every send, so a message is never answered twice.
  • Built-in limits. Daily send cap, five messages an hour per visitor, and complaints or urgent messages always wait for a person.

Infrastructure, automation and security work that lives in repositories rather than on a website.

Ubuntu Hermes VPS

InfrastructureAI agentsUbuntu

The setup behind SlickLab's own server: an Ubuntu VPS that hosts the studio's sites and runs the Hermes AI agent.

What it gives you
  • Eating our own cooking. The studio runs on the same kind of agentic systems it builds for clients.
  • One server, documented. The way it is run is written down so it can be repeated.
Private repository

Inbound Lead Conversion

AutomationTypeScriptPhase 1

The orchestration engine of an AI lead-conversion system: every inbound lead is deduplicated, qualified, booked exactly once and audited.

What it gives you
  • Booked once, never twice. Booking is idempotent, even when a request is retried.
  • Every step on the record. A full audit trail keyed by trace ID.
  • Proven before wired in. Tested end to end with vendors mocked on purpose.

SlickDesk

IT helpdeskPython · FlaskPowerShell

A lightweight IT helpdesk and asset-management app: people raise tickets, IT tracks hardware and software, and a live dashboard shows what is open.

What it gives you
  • Tickets and assets together. Support requests and the equipment behind them in one place.
  • Automation built in. Auto-reply confirmations by email and a daily PowerShell report.
  • Light to run. Flask and SQLite, with nothing heavy to host.

SOC Homelab

SecuritySplunkLab

A self-contained security operations lab with two separated networks: Active Directory, Windows endpoints and a Splunk SIEM to watch, and an isolated Kali Linux network to attack from.

What it gives you
  • Real SOC workflows. Detection, response and analysis practised end to end, not tools in isolation.
  • Safe to attack. Strict separation keeps the adversary simulation contained.
  • Documented as it was built. Each machine has its own write-up in the repository.
